The Scott Aerator Dock Mount Aquasweep is a highly effective pond muck blaster with significant horsepower.

It can keep your waterfront clean from algae, trash, and decaying debris on the surface, or it can be used to blast muck, silt, weeds, and decaying leaves from the bottom.

Looking for all-natural algae control? The Aquasweep is the solution you’ve been looking for! Whether you call it a muck mover, a lake blower, an aqua-blaster, or a water-thruster, the Aquasweep is a great solution for managing your pond, lake, or canal!

The Aquasweep from Scott Aerator is an industry-leading solution to dock, canal, beach, and shoreline clean-up, improvement, and maintenance.

The Dock Mount Aquasweep can keep your waterfront clean from algae, trash, and decaying debris on the surface, or it can be used to blast muck, silt, weeds, and decaying leaves from the bottom.

In fact, the Aquasweep has been the top debris and muck mover in the industry since it was launched in 1994!

One of the great features of the Aquasweep is its continuous-run capability thanks to its weed-free design. The debris shield prevents grasses, weeds and other material from clogging the moving parts so your Aquasweep can move muck continuously, without concern for clogs!

High-velocity water propulsion pushes debris 75 feet or more, away from your swimming area, dock or boat lift. People love the dramatic effect the Aquasweep has on their waterfront areas.

Designed for both fresh and salt water, there are several options for mounting your Aquasweep:

  • Dock Plate (comes standard)
  • Dock Post Bracket (optional upgrade)
  • Truss Mount (optional upgrade)
  • Free Standing Post (optional upgrade)

The Aquasweep safely mounts to your dock via the included stainless steel mounting plate.

Mounting the Aquasweep to your dock or to the add-on post and positioning the Aquasweep 2-4" from the bottom will give you the best muck-blasting results.

The stainless steel yoke assembly the unit is attached to reaches a depth of up to 7 feet.

The Aquasweep can be pointed in any direction around your dock to focus your muck or sediment movement precisely where you’d like it. It also includes vertical adjustment, making it the ideal solution for eliminating decaying bottom muck, targeting weedy areas, or removing floating surface algae.

We recommend adding the oscillator attachment so you don’t have to manually rotate the Aquasweep. The fully programmable oscillator automatically rotates the Aquasweep in 20° increments every 20 minutes for up to 359° of coverage!

The Aquasweep is manufactured in-house, utilizing a heavy-duty, 50 foot long, 12-gauge, submersible power cable with a rugged, marine-grade, water-resistant plug.

The Aquasweep’s 3,450 rpm of power comes from a professional-grade, fully submersible, maintenance-free electric motor, available in both 110- and 230-volt styles.

The Aquasweep includes an unconditional, five-year motor warranty

Note: The Aquasweep is ARL tested and approved to be in compliance with the applicable requirements of UL and the National Electric Code as a complete unit.

Note: Only connect to a GFCI protected circuit. Always disconnect when swimmers are present. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor.

How long is the submersible power cable that comes with my Scott Aerator product?

The products manufactured by Scott Aerator are supplied with submersible power cable as follows:

Display Aerators and fountains utilizing a ½-hp motor come with 70 feet of power cable. Display Aerators and fountains utilizing a 1½-hp motor come with 100 feet of power cable.

The Aquasweep dock mount model is manufactured with 50 feet of power cable, the floating model with 35 feet.

De-icer units are manufactured with 25 feet of power cord on dock mount and slinger models, 35 feet on the floating model.

The light kits, both two-light and four-light, come with 100 feet of power cord.

All products can be manufactured with longer power cords.  Please contact us to request additional lengths.

What safety procedures are required for my Scott Aerator product?

Always use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet for installation, and be sure to disconnect the power source whenever swimmers are present.

How do I decide if I need a fountain or an aerator?

While both styles can be aesthetically pleasing, aerators are primarily used for controlling algae, adding oxygen, and inhibiting insect breeding. If attractive sight and sound are your priorities, a fountain may be more suitable.

Can I operate my fountain day and night?

Scott Aerator fountain and aerator products are engineered to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (with the exception of the solar line of products, which are daytime focused).

How much of an increase in my electrical bill should I expect to see?

When operating a unit manufactured with a ½-hp motor, you can expect an additional cost of between .08 and .10 per hour on average. The 1½-hp units with 230-volt motors average about .12 per hour to operate.

How long will it take for my unit to be delivered?

All orders are typically shipped out within one business day by UPS.

What warranty is included with Scott Aerator?

All standard Scott Aerator products are warranted for five years against motor defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions. All other product components are warranted for one year from date of purchase. Warranties remain in effect only for original owners and are not transferable.

Do I need any special permit from my state or local authority to operate an aquasweep, aerator, or fountain?

More than likely, no. If in doubt, check with your state's Department of Natural Resources or a local agency in your area.

Does Scott Aerator have lighting available for fountains and aerators?

Yes, two and four light kits are available as an optional add on purchase.  The lights can be added to your unit at the time of original purchase or anytime in the future.

    How difficult is Installation?

    Installation is relatively easy.

Under your fountain or aerator's flotation device, you'll find two eye bolts. Simply tie a nylon rope (not provided) to each of the two eye bolts and attach a concrete block or boat anchor to the ends of the rope.

The weighted ends of rope should be placed a minimum of 20 feet apart at the bottom of your pond. Or you can eliminate the weights and tie the ropes off on shore.

    What maintenance is required?

Very little maintenance is required for any product manufactured by Scott Aerator.

All motors and pumps we use are oil-free, self-contained units which require little more than a good spray with the garden hose or pressure washer when you remove them from the water. If you use your unit all year, just take it out of the water once every 3 years and spray it out well with clean water.

How will the products hold up in salt water?

All products are specifically designed for both fresh and salt water.  So salt water will not negatively impact the products.

Do I need to winterize the products?

No winterization is required for any Scott Aerator products.

Simply leave your aerator or fountain in the water, turn off the power supply, and forget about it for the winter.

Once the water thaws in the spring, re-establish power to the unit and you’re good to go.

The only exception to this rule is if you have installed an optional light set to your fountain or aerator, you should remove the light set prior to the ice forming.

All other components will withstand sub-zero conditions without damage. We do recommend removing your unit every 3 years to spray it clean with good clean water from a garden hose or pressure washer.

What is the minimum water depth required for my product?

All ½-hp aerators should be placed in no less than 28 inches of water. 1 ½-hp aerators should be placed in no less than 38 inches of water.

All ½-hp fountains should be placed in no less than 28 inches of water. All 1 ½-hp fountains should be placed in no less than 42 inches of water.

What size pond do I need for a fountain or aerator?

All aerators and fountains manufactured by Scott Aerator Company are suitable for ponds of 1/8th acre and larger.

How many gallons per minute of water will my product move?

The Boilermaker and DA-20 aerators move up to 600 gallons of water per minute in the 1 ½-hp versions, and up to 400 gallons of water per minute in the ½-hp models.

Fountains generally move up to 80 gallons of water per minute in the 1½-hp versions and up to 60 gallons of water per minute in the ½-hp models.

Can I get a longer power cord with my product?

    Yes.

Longer power cord lengths are available for all Scott Aerator products. The standard power cord is 12 gauge submersible, however 10 and 8 gauge power cords are available when needed for extra long power runs.

What is the advantage of using 230 volt over 115 volt power?

When utilizing a 230-volt motor, the amp draw is half that of the comparable 115-volt fountain or aerator. This means the 230-volt motor uses less power and is cheaper to operate than the 115 volt motor.

Power cords can be manufactured in greater lengths for 230-volt motors. Spray patterns and flow rates do not change when using a 230-volt motor compared to 115-volt motors.
