Universe Retractable Pool Enclosures

Universe retractable pool enclosures are medium height enclosures.  Because of the superior wind and snow ratings, the Universe enclosures are very popular in areas with higher amounts of snow and windier conditions.

The Universe retractable pool enclosures are available in 6 standardized sizes. Universe enclosures have a choice of 10mm twin wall polycarbonate panels or 4mm compact polycarbonate panels.

• 4mm Polycarbonate Panels - Smaller and more compact design which provides visual optics that mimic the effect of looking through clear glass. 4mm polycarbonate panels provide higher insulation value than 10mm polycarbonate panels.
• 10mm Polycarbonate Panels - 10mm twin wall polycarbonate panels are thicker than the 4mm polycarbonate panels. The 10mm polycarbonate panels have slightly less insulation value than the more compact 4mm panels.

10mm polycarbonate panels are less expensive than 4mm polycarbonate panels due to the differences in thickness and insulation values.

Universe pool enclosure sizes start at type I which is the smallest size and increase in size to Type VI which is the largest sized pool enclosure option. 

• Universe Type I: 17ft. 2in. wide by 35ft. long by 6ft. 7in. tall
• Universe Type II: 18ft. 8in. wide by 41ft. 8in. long by 6ft. 7in. tall
• Universe Type III: 20ft. 6in. wide by 41ft. 8in. long by 7ft. 3in. tall
• Universe Type IV: 20ft. 6in. wide by 48ft. 8in. long by 7ft. 6in. tall
• Universe Type V: 22ft. 2in. wide by 41ft. 8in. long by 7ft. 6in. tall
• Universe Type VI: 22ft. 2in wide by 48ft. 8in. long by 7ft. 6in. tall.

The smallest sized Universe pool enclosure, the Type I, has a 150 mile per hour wind rating and a 70 pounds per square foot snow rating. The wind and snow ratings for each enclosure decline slightly as the enclosure size increases. 

The largest Universe model, the Type VI, has a 150 miler per hour wind rating and a 60 pounds per square foot snow rating.
